What is a Country Stats Dstat?
A Country Stats Dstat breaks the incoming requests down by source country, using Cloudflare's edge geolocation data. Beyond the total request rate, the panel shows a live ranking of countries by request share — revealing exactly where the traffic originates geographically.
Geo distribution matters because many targets apply country-based rules: traffic concentrated in one region is easy to block with a single geo rule, while requests spread across many countries are far harder to filter. Where does the country data come from?
From Cloudflare's edge network, which geolocates every incoming request by source IP at the point of entry — no client-side lookup involved.
Why is the geographic spread of traffic important?
Country-based firewall rules are one of the cheapest mitigations available. Traffic spread across many countries cannot be stopped by a single geo block, so a wide distribution makes filtering significantly harder.
Can I see the per-country breakdown live?
